Our Latest Christmas Crush? Bauble Stockings

Here at Aspen Grange, we’re obsessed with ethically made Christmas décor. So it’s no surprise that we’ve become thoroughly besotted with Bauble Stockings—charming 6” long Christmas stockings that are Fair Trade-made in Haiti by 107 women, most of them single moms, who earn the equivalent of nurse or schoolteacher salaries for their work. Needlepointed with everything from silver jingle bells to reindeer, these Christmas stockings are designed to be hung from your Christmas tree branches and filled with some of the sweetest, smallest gifts of the season, like glimmering earrings and coveted concert tickets. “Our products are meant to be heirlooms that are passed down from generation to generation,” says Bauble Stockings owner Kate Stewart, who grew up with the tradition of filling a teensy stocking for her mother every year. “The beautiful hand work ensures that they can withstand the test of time, and allows for extreme attention to detail.” Given our proclivity for big, blousy bows, our personal fave might just be Holiday Greetings ($85.00). Did we mention 5% of the profits from each stocking sale goes to the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, which helps families get out of homelessness? This Christmas crush of ours is true love.
